As mentioned previously, the Netscape Archive has been created to preserve a final resting place for client side Netscape applications, given that official support is ending March 1, 2008. The archive is now available at archive.netscape.com…

As the quote says the archive will contain all releases of Netscape Navigator from Navigator 4.78 to Navigator 9.0.0. I was a navigator during the first browser wars, and I am happy to say I use Firefox now.

The end of an era…

Well I have just finished doing a whole load of work on my site. I have sorted all of posts into categories creating 4 main categories that I always blog about and one random category for everything else.

You can browse each category:

IT & Technology

Photography

Up In Space

Mountain Biking

Misfits

Each category now has it’s own feed (powered by FeedBurner) and either your browser will pick them up for you or there are links at the top right.

A few people have said that although they enjoy reading my thoughts and random musings they were very disorganised and all lumped into one blog page. So now you can it you want you can follow just one of my thought paths, or two and so on…

The Gallery is still in the same place but any posts about photos I am adding to the gallery will appear in the Photography category and link to the correct album.

You might also have noticed a simplified look to the site, I have got rid of a few of the graphics that were around and spent a lot of time adjusting white space to make everything as clear and as simple to navigate as possible. The search function has also been moved out of the header and into the right column, its also been made a little more ‘obvious’ (hmm excuse the quotes, I couldn’t think of anything to say).

Finally I have added an archive page, that lists all posts sorted by their category, note that all posts use the category in the permalink now rather than the date, you can still search by date by putting something like http://www.pureroon.co.uk/2008/02 to get all posts from February 2008.

So what do you think? Answers on a postcard, or if you don’t want to fork out for postage just use the form below
